Aurora

Aurora Aksnes was born on 15 June 1996 in Stavanger Norway. She is professionally known as Aurora and occasionally stylized using lowercase letters, such in the form of AURORA. Her debut E.P. Running with the Wolves by Decca Records was released on May 15, 2015, receiving rave reviews from both music bloggers and the press. Half the World Away, by the Oasis group for John Lewis Christmas advertisements and Nature Boy by Nat King Cole are just two of her most well-known recordings. She gained some further recognition from a post by Katy Perry where Perry endorsed the song Runaway. It was her birthday celebration. Aurora Aksnes' earliest musical memories involve finding the piano in her attic then becoming enthralled by the sound it made. Jan Oystein Aksnes was her father. They encouraged her not to play music only for fun or as a means of growth but rather, she should pursue it. As a result, she started writing the music she composed herself. Her inspirations include famous writers Leonard Cohen and Bob Dylan and her affinity with Bjork's style. Her mother was supportive of her performing her music publicly, not in order to achieve fame, but rather to help others realize the importance of their work and the good they do for the world. She began playing the piano at the age of six, and began writing music at age nine. She didn't tell her family about her music until she reached 14. There was no way she could have imagined to become Aurora. Aurora claims she loves writing music. For her music, is the best way to express anything.
